Chapter 6
Flight to Nowhere
Branded as fugitives by both nations, Sharlene and Ki escape to neutral territory. Their love, tested by sacrifice, finds a tentative peace, a beacon of hope for a future free from war.

He had risked everything for her, and she, in turn, had risked everything for him. The weight of that shared defiance settled between them, a heavy, precious burden.
