Chapter 4
A Hidden Gift
Elara experiences unsettling visions, glimpses of futures she can't comprehend. She senses a unique power within her, a gift that feels both wondrous and terrifying.

A shiver had run down her spine, a premonition so potent she’d nearly dropped the warm bread. And then, mere hours later, she’d heard the commotion – the baker’s apprentice, clumsy and young, had stumbled, his arm catching on a hot baking stone. He’d cried out, a searing burn blooming across his skin, his face contorted in pain.
