Chapter 15
Farewell to the Gilded Cage
Aurelia bids farewell to her father and the familiar halls of the palace. She exchanges a knowing glance with the jester, her heart light with anticipation for the unknown road ahead.

Aurelia offered a small, practiced smile. “Father, you know my heart. It yearns for… well, for *more*. This gilded cage, as you so often call it – though you always say it with such pride – has begun to feel a touch too gilded, and not nearly enough cage.” She paused, a mischievous glint dancing in her eyes. “Besides, Captain Borin’s interpretive dance sessions with the Royal Guard were, while… *enlightening*, not quite the grand adventure I had envisioned.”
