Raab's Mother stepped further into the shimmering, ever-changing landscape, the knitted scarf nestled safely in her arms. The air hummed with a soft, melodic energy, unlike anything she had ever known. It was a symphony of colors, not just seen, but felt, a gentle caress against her skin. She had expected more digital ghosts, perhaps more whirring robots like the ones she’d met, but this new area was… alive. Not in the way her carefully tended gardens at home were alive, but in a way that pulsed with a different kind of sentience.

Before her, strange blossoms unfurled, their petals made of light that shifted through the spectrum with every gentle breeze. Some were like delicate glass bells, tinkling with unheard melodies when she passed. Others were bulbous and warm, radiating a soft, comforting heat that chased away any lingering chill. There were plants that seemed to be woven from pure energy, their tendrils reaching out like inquisitive fingers, not to grasp, but to… observe.

One particularly striking plant caught her eye. It resembled a giant, iridescent fern, its fronds shimmering with all the colors of a rainbow. As Raab's Mother approached, a single, dew-like droplet detached itself from a frond and floated towards her. It didn’t fall; it drifted, as if guided by an invisible string. Hesitantly, she reached out a finger, and the droplet settled upon it, cool and smooth. A faint, sweet scent, like honeysuckle and starlight, wafted from it, and for a fleeting moment, Raab's Mother felt a surge of understanding, a silent communication that bypassed words entirely. It was a feeling of gentle curiosity, a quiet welcome.
