The Shifting Canvas
To reach her friend, Raab's Mother enters a psychedelic, constantly changing digital realm. The world warps and morphs, challenging her perception of reality.
The air hummed a low, resonant song as Raab’s Mother stepped through the shimmering veil. It wasn’t a door, not really, more like a ripple in the fabric of what she knew. One moment, she was in her familiar, quiet room, the glowing scarf clutched in her hand, the next, she was *elsewhere*. And ‘elsewhere’ was a kaleidoscope of impossible colours and shapes.
The ground beneath her feet wasn't solid earth, but a shifting mosaic of light that pulsed with a gentle rhythm. It felt like walking on a dream. Above, the sky was a swirling nebula of amethyst and emerald, with streaks of molten gold that dripped and reformed into fleeting constellations. Trees, if they could be called that, grew in spirals, their leaves like stained-glass windows catching the light and casting dancing patterns on the ground. Some had branches that unfurled like silken banners, others bore fruit that glowed with an inner luminescence, casting soft, warm hues.
