The air in my living room, usually thick with the scent of Ekwene’s questionable potpourri and the unspoken tension of my double life, had curdled into something far more potent. It was the unmistakable aroma of impending doom, seasoned with the sharp tang of betrayal. Two women, the architects of my current domestic inferno, stood before me, their faces etched with a fury that could melt glaciers. Ekwene, my first wife, the architect of my original misery, was a storm cloud in a floral dress. Yolande, my second wife, the sweet escape that had morphed into a second prison, was a quivering, heartbroken statue.
"Tiamoh," Ekwene began, her voice dangerously low, like a coiled viper. "Explain. Now."
