Chapter 16
The Last Brother's Defeat
The final remaining brother, a formidable threat to Ashvin's reign, confronts him. The ensuing battle is fierce, a culmination of years of rivalry and bloodshed. Ashvin, fighting with the strength of a man protecting his kingdom and his love, ultimately triumphs. The last obstacle to peace is removed, and Vadronia, though scarred, can finally begin to heal under the rule of its new King.

Kael, who had watched the bloodshed with cold, appraising eyes, waiting for his moment. And now, it seemed, he believed his moment had finally arrived.
“He’s fortified the old hunting lodge, Your Highness,” Roderick murmured, his voice low and steady, betraying none of the tension that coiled in the air. “A sturdy place, but not impregnable. His men are weary, many of them conscripts.”
