Anya traced the faded ink lines of the map spread between them, a whisper of the past held in her fingertips. The shop, a treasure trove of forgotten trinkets and stories, felt like a sanctuary, and Mr. Petrov, with his kind, crinkled eyes, was its gentle guardian. He had been watching her, a silent observer, as she pored over the intricate details, her brow furrowed in a familiar, gentle confusion.
