Triumph and Celebration

The air in our Kyoto apartment hummed, not with the usual quiet contentment, but with a vibrant, almost electric energy. It was the aftermath of a storm, and we, Kenji and I, were standing in the sun-drenched calm, our hands clasped tightly.
