The air in the next chamber shimmered with an unsettling brilliance. It wasn't light as Elara knew it, but a thousand fractured reflections, each one a sliver of the world she’d left behind, distorted and warped. Walls, floor, and ceiling were all composed of polished, obsidian-like surfaces, creating an infinite, dazzling maze of mirrored images. Elara gasped, her own wide eyes staring back at her from every direction, a legion of anxious cartographers trapped in a hall of mirrors.

She took a tentative step forward, and the legion moved with her, a ripple of unease spreading through the reflected space. The labyrinth was testing her again, not with a puzzle of numbers this time, but with an illusion, a distortion of perception. Master Alaric’s words, “The truth is often hidden in plain sight, Elara, but you must learn to see beyond the surface,” echoed in her mind.

This was a room of reflections, and in geometry, reflection followed strict laws. The angle of incidence equaled the angle of reflection. It was a fundamental truth, a constant in a world of shifting angles. But how did that apply here, when every surface was a mirror? She needed to find the *true* path, not just a reflection of it.
