Professor Hoot's Wise Words

A wise owl, Professor Hoot, offers guidance. He speaks in riddles but knows much about the teapot's magic. He points Lily and Barnaby toward their first clue.

The air in the clearing buzzed with a frantic energy, a symphony of worried chirps and anxious squeaks. Lily, still clutching Barnaby a little tighter than usual, surveyed the scene. A badger in a waistcoat wrung his paws, a rabbit with spectacles nervously polished his nose, and a plump pigeon kept adjusting his tiny bow tie. Their magical sugar cubes, the very essence of their time-traveling tea parties, were gone. Vanished! And with them, the promise of more adventures.

“Oh dear, oh dear,” sighed the badger, his voice a low rumble. “Without the sparkle, the tea is just… tea. And where’s the fun in that?”

Barnaby, who had miraculously found his voice somewhere between the attic and this peculiar gathering, let out a small, worried squeak. “It’s not fair! They were so sparkly!”
