The masked trio, a relentless, terrifying trinity, were a nightmare given form, their movements unnervingly coordinated, their silence more potent than any scream.

Andrew, his jaw set in a grim line, pushed ahead, his usual bravado replaced by a raw, protective instinct. He glanced back, his eyes scanning for the others, a knot of dread tightening in his gut. Maya, her face streaked with dirt and sweat, kept pace, her movements economical, her gaze sharp, missing nothing. Noah, his athletic prowess now a desperate scramble, stumbled occasionally, a flash of panic in his eyes that he fought to suppress. Benjamin, usually the quiet observer, was now a whirlwind of determined energy, his focus solely on keeping the group together. Brandon, his usual easy smile vanished, ran with a grim set to his shoulders, his eyes darting, wary.

The trees, once a comforting canopy, now seemed to press in, their branches like grasping claws. Every rustle of leaves, every snap of a twig, sent a fresh wave of adrenaline coursing through them. They were no longer campers enjoying a summer break; they were prey, hunted through a labyrinth of green.
