The air in the cave grew thicker, carrying a scent that was both sweet and strangely metallic. Mina, ever the observer, noticed it first. "It smells… like Grandma's special perfume," she murmured, a hint of confusion in her voice. Jolley, her hand still tucked tightly in Mina’s, sniffed the air with a giggle. "It smells like candy flowers!" she declared, her eyes wide with wonder.

And then they saw them. Clusters of blossoms, unlike any they had ever encountered, bloomed from the cavern walls. "The most beautiful things can sometimes hide the sharpest thorns, my dears," she had said, her eyes twinkling with a knowing glint. "Especially in places where magic whispers." Mina remembered the way Grandma Elena had pointed to a particularly striking bloom in their own garden, a deep purple flower with velvety petals, and warned them never to touch it, for its beauty was a deceptive lure.
