Chapter 6
Believe Your Own Fairy Tale
Jazz concludes by urging readers to stay strong, keep the faith, and believe that fairy tales are real. With God's help, they too can overcome challenges and write their own inspiring stories of hope and triumph.
And so, my amazing friends, that’s our story so far. We’ve danced through challenges, we’ve twinned with our sisters, and we’ve seen God’s magic sprinkle down like sparkly fairy dust. But you know what the best part of all these adventures is? It’s that feeling, that warm, fuzzy feeling deep inside your belly, that tells you, “You can do it! You are strong! You are smart!” That’s what I want you to take with you, like a special treasure you keep in your pocket.
Sometimes, when I look back at everything Jalen and I have been through, it really does feel like a fairy tale. Like, how did we even get here? How did we leap over those big, scary hurdles? And then I remember. It wasn’t just us. It was God, holding our hands, whispering, “You’ve got this!” And when you have God on your side, well, that’s when the impossible starts to feel possible, and the ordinary starts to feel extraordinary. It’s like a secret key that unlocks a world where anything can happen.
Think about it! Even though Jalen’s hips were a little wobbly when she was tiny, and my body sometimes needs a little extra TLC because of Turner syndrome, we’re still running, jumping, and dancing! We’re learning new things at school, making new friends, and giggling until our tummies hurt. And that, my friends, is a fairy tale come true, isn’t it? It’s proof that even when things aren’t perfect, they can still be wonderful.
