Chapter 4
A Celestial Key
The traveler reveals Elara's birthmark is not a curse, but a celestial key. It signifies a dormant power, an ancient magic waiting to be awakened. Elara is skeptical but intrigued by the possibility.

Elara scoffed, a nervous flutter in her chest. “Powers? You mean like… making the crops grow faster? Or finding lost sheep?” Her village, nestled in the shadow of the Whispering Peaks, relied on simple things. Magic, if it existed, was the stuff of old wives’ tales, whispered around dying embers, not etched onto a girl’s forehead. “I’m just Elara. I bake bread, I mend torn clothes, I try to stay out of people’s way. I don’t have any powers.”
