The air in the ancient grove hummed with a power Elara had never felt before, a vibrant thrum that vibrated deep within her bones. Sunlight dappled through the impossibly old leaves, painting shifting patterns on the moss-covered stones that lay scattered like forgotten teeth of the earth. The Mysterious Traveler, their form cloaked in shadow and mystery, gestured towards a cluster of smooth, grey rocks arranged in a rough circle.
“Here, Elara,” the Traveler’s voice was a soft murmur, like wind through dry reeds, “the echoes of your lineage are strongest.”
Elara clutched the worn leather satchel containing the cryptic scrolls they had found earlier. Her heart pounded against her ribs, a frantic drumbeat against the grove’s steady pulse.
