The air in the throne room thrummed, a discordant symphony of encroaching dread and the desperate, defiant pulse of life. Shadows, no longer content to lurk in corners, slithered across the polished obsidian floor, their tendrils reaching, probing, seeking purchase. They were the Weaver’s heralds, the vanguard of a darkness that had gnawed at the edges of Aethelgard for too long.
