Guardians of the Sphere

Xylos had always known the sun’s fury. Its twin moons, once vibrant beacons, now hung like scorched embers in the bruised sky, a testament to the planet’s relentless heat. Life clung to existence in the deepest, shadowed canyons, or in the brief, cool respite of the planet’s infrequent, violent storms. Then, Sol appeared.

Not with a bang, but with a silent, breathtaking bloom of light. It hung there, a perfect, obsidian sphere, suspended between Xylos and its tyrannical star. The immediate effect was profound. The searing glare softened, the oppressive heat began to recede, and for the first time in generations, Xylos felt… comfortable.
