Brianna and the others remain focused on winning, their victory seemingly assured. But Kelly's quiet distress and secretive glances start to draw attention, creating subtle tension within the group.
The air in the studio, once thick with the scent of sweat and ambition, now held a faint, unsettling chill. Brianna, her gaze sharp and unwavering, surveyed the remaining five dancers. They were a formidable unit, a tightly choreographed force that had just seen its greatest obstacle removed. Emma, the girl with the effortless grace and the infuriatingly pure spirit, was gone. Her absence was a gaping hole in the competition landscape, a void that each of them was eager to fill.
“She’s out for four weeks,” Chloe said, her voice laced with a triumphant purr. She stretched languidly, the movement highlighting the lean muscle beneath her leotard. “That’s the entire competition. We did it.”
A ripple of satisfied murmurs passed through the group. Maya, always the pragmatist, was already calculating their chances. “Four weeks is more than enough time to solidify our routine. No more worrying about her overshadowing us.”
