“He’d be so proud of you, Ana,” Grandma S murmured, her voice a soft whisper against the wind. “He always knew there was something special about you, even before… before all of this.”

Anastasia turned, her gaze meeting her grandmother’s. Grandma S’s eyes, usually so bright and full of life, held a profound depth, a quiet understanding forged in years of love and loss.
