Lyra’s boots crunched on a path that had, until now, been choked with the spectral thorns of despair. Here, however, the ground felt strangely alive, the earth breathing a slow, steady rhythm beneath her feet. Sunlight, filtered through an impossibly ancient canopy, dappled the forest floor with a warmth that felt like a forgotten memory.
She had followed the whispers, the faintest of echoes that Kael had helped her decipher from the fragmented lore. They spoke of a place where the roots of the world tangled with the heart of the sky, a nexus of pure, untainted energy. The journey had been arduous, each step a battle against the insidious tendrils of doubt and despair that still clung to the edges of her spirit, remnants of the Starfall’s blight. But with every passing hour, a fragile ember of hope within her had grown, fanned by the very memory of what the Starfall was meant to be.
Lyra rounded a colossal, moss-covered boulder, its surface etched with symbols that seemed to writhe with a gentle, inner light. And there it was.
