Chapter 4
Flight into the Unknown
His sanctuary breached, the man is forced to abandon his meager existence. His flight begins, a desperate journey fueled by the need to outrun his hunters and understand Stella's hold.

He didn't need to see them to know they were there. The air had shifted, thickening with an unseen pressure, the way it did before a storm. The familiar unease, his constant companion, now sharpened into a biting fear. They had found him. Or rather, they had found the faint scent he’d left behind, a trail he’d meticulously tried to erase.
