A Desperate Plea

Kelly pleads for her freedom, trying to reason with the guards. She speaks of her home, her mother, and her desire to live. Her words fall on deaf ears, only hardening their resolve.

Kelly’s heart hammered against her ribs, a frantic bird trapped within a cage of bone. The words of the two aliens, sharp and cold as slivers of ice, echoed in the sudden, suffocating silence of the forest. Tree. Forever. The chilling finality of it sent a tremor through her small frame. She had to speak, to make them understand, to make them see her.

She stumbled forward, her voice cracking as she called out, her small figure a stark contrast to the looming, alien trees. "Wait! Please! You can't do this!"

The Male Guard Alien, a hulking figure with skin like polished obsidian, turned slowly. His eyes, multifaceted like a fly's, seemed to absorb the dim light, offering no warmth, no flicker of understanding. The Female Guard Alien, her form more lithe and covered in shimmering scales, glided closer, a smile that didn't reach her eyes painted across her alien features.
