The Giggle-Inducing Grove
Barnaby sends them through a grove where trees whisper jokes. The uncontrollable giggles threaten to derail their mission. Leo's good nature helps them push through, even as he trips over his own feet.
Barnaby, with a flick of his whiskery snout, pointed a clawed paw towards a shimmering, iridescent haze nestled between two ancient oaks. “Right then, you two. Through there. The Giggle-Inducing Grove. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” He then proceeded to scratch his ear with a hind leg, a surprisingly graceful maneuver for a creature so famously cantankerous.
Leo, ever the optimist even when faced with the prospect of a grove that induced uncontrollable mirth, beamed. “A grove of jokes! This sounds amazing! Maybe they have knock-knock jokes!”
Maya, however, looked distinctly unimpressed. She adjusted the strap of her backpack, her brow furrowed with a familiar blend of caution and exasperation. “Leo, remember the river of riddles? And the backwards-singing bird? I have a feeling this ‘amazing’ grove is going to be more ‘agonizingly hilarious’ than ‘absolutely delightful’.”
