Snakey's Surprise
Snakey, recovering quickly, lunges at Andy. To her surprise, he's stronger than he appears. He wraps around a chair, attempting to crush it. Andy realizes the cartoon characters possess amplified versions of their TV abilities.
Snakey, surprisingly nimble for a creature who had just made a dramatic exit from a flat screen, shook his head, his beady cartoon eyes blinking rapidly. The glitter bomb, a chaotic explosion of sparkly pink and purple, had momentarily stunned him, but cartoon logic, Andy knew, was a resilient thing. He let out a hiss that sounded less like a threat and more like a frustrated squeak, then coiled his long, green body, muscles rippling beneath his smooth, cartoon skin. Andy, heart pounding a frantic rhythm against her ribs, scrambled backward, her sneakers squeaking on the polished wooden floor. She’d expected him to be… well, flustered. Maybe a little dizzy. Not this immediately ready for action.
“You think a little sparkle can stop me?” Snakey sneered, his voice a high-pitched, serpentine rasp that was suddenly far more menacing than it had ever been during their Saturday morning adventures. He darted forward, a blur of green and yellow stripes, aiming straight for her. Andy yelped, stumbling over a discarded plush toy of Crystal Lizard, her footing momentarily lost. She braced herself for the impact, picturing those sharp, cartoon fangs sinking into her arm. But instead of landing on her, Snakey slammed into the leg of her desk chair with a resounding thwack.
Andy blinked, confused. Snakey wasn’t biting her. He was… attacking the furniture. He wrapped himself around the chair’s sturdy wooden leg, his body tightening like a vise. Andy watched, wide-eyed, as the wood began to creak and groan under the immense pressure. Splinters flew as the chair leg visibly bowed inwards. This wasn’t just cartoon strength; this was amplified cartoon strength. In the show, Snakey could wrap around a tree and make it wiggle, but this was different. This was destructive. This was… real.
