Chapter 4
Race Against the Past
During a school adventure competition, Ashley is forced to partner with a resilient Noah. Despite her past rejection, he offers unwavering support, challenging her perception of trust.
The air crackled with an energy that had nothing to do with the blustery October wind whipping through the school grounds. From there, your journey truly begins!”
A collective cheer erupted, followed by a flurry of students scrambling to find their assigned partners. My name was called, a little louder than the others, and I turned, a polite, albeit forced, smile plastered on my face. “Ashley Miller, you’re partnered with… Noah Evans!”
