The jagged peaks clawed at the bruised twilight sky, a formidable, untamed barrier separating the familiar, structured world of SkyBound Academy from the wild heart of Wyvern Land. Kaida, Zayden, and Master Eldrin, their cloaks whipping in the biting wind, ascended the treacherous path. Each step was a gamble on loose scree and sheer ice, a stark contrast to the polished training grounds they’d left behind. The air grew thinner, colder, carrying the scent of pine, snow, and something else – something primal and ancient.

“The Wild Peaks,” Master Eldrin’s voice, usually a calm rumble, was edged with a reverence Kaida hadn’t heard before. “They are the last bastion between our world and the true Wyvern Land. Few dare to venture this deep, and fewer still return unchanged.”

Zayden, ever the pragmatist, scanned the precipitous inclines with a hawk’s intensity. “We’re not here for a scenic tour, Master Eldrin. We’re here to find the truth about the First Guardians, and the legend of the Moonstone Wyvern.”
