VanceCorp, his empire, was more than a conglomerate; it was an ecosystem, a meticulously balanced machine that churned profit by maintaining the very inequalities that Anya Sharma, a name he’d only recently begun to register, seemed intent on dismantling.
His head of security, a man whose face was as impassive as polished granite, stood by the door. “Sir, we have a situation regarding the Sharma individual.”
Vance turned, his eyes, the color of a winter sea, narrowed. “Sharma. The one sifting through the municipal archives?”
