Chapter 7
Chapter 7: The Bloodline
At the ranger station, Wila faces both J7 and the clone, but the confrontation is interrupted by the arrival of Kay Deeds and Jaque Deeds Jr., who reveal a deeper conspiracy involving their father and Veritas Biotech.

J7 stood with his hands in his jacket pockets, his posture loose but his eyes sharp. He looked older than the clone, not in years but in wear. There were lines around his mouth that the clone didn't have, a hardness in his jaw that came from something other than genetics.
"Wila." J7's voice was rough, like he hadn't used it in a while. "Thank you for coming."
