Ashley returns to Maya's café to find Rowan already there, attempting to order with comedic failure. Leo Vance bursts in with a revised proposal and a live demo that goes spectacularly wrong. Ashley pushed open the door of Maya's café and immediately suspected she had walked into an alternate dimension. Rowan stood at the counter, pointing at the menu board with the focused intensity of a man trying to defuse a bomb. Maya watched him with the patient expression of someone who had seen this exact performance before.
“So,” Rowan said, squinting at the chalkboard. “The… uh… the one with the milk. But not too much milk. And maybe a little bit of the brown stuff. The dust. On top.”
“A cappuccino?” Maya said.
