The worn leather of Evelyn Reed’s journal felt strangely warm beneath Aris’s fingertips, as if still holding the echo of her touch. He traced the elegant script, each word a carefully placed stone in a mosaic of revelation. The initial terror that had gripped him, the visceral fear of an impending global collapse, began to recede, replaced by a dizzying sense of awe and a profound, almost overwhelming, responsibility. He had to guide the reset, to nudge the universe towards a more harmonious state, a state Evelyn had envisioned.
