"Anything, Elena?" Miller's voice was a low rumble, a sound I’d come to associate with calm, with order. Now, it felt like a lie.
I shook my head, my gaze fixed on the symbol. It was more than just a marker; it was a question, a challenge, a taunt. My mother's legacy, tangled with secrets I was only beginning to unravel, was etched into this desolate space. Project Genesis. The Dark Ledger. Words that had been whispers, then fragments, now a roaring torrent threatening to drown me.
