A Web of Deceit
Isabella interviews Sofia, who maintains her innocence but displays unnerving knowledge of the victims' lives. Isabella senses Sofia is hiding something significant, deepening her suspicion.
The sterile interrogation room did little to diminish Sofia Ramirez’s allure. Even under the harsh glare of the overhead lights, her dark eyes held a captivating depth, and the slight curve of her lips hinted at secrets she was unwilling to share. Detective Isabella Rossi leaned forward, her own gaze unwavering, trying to penetrate the calm facade. The air between them was thick with unspoken tension, a silent dance of suspicion and evasion.
“Ms. Ramirez,” Isabella began, her voice measured but firm, “we’ve been over this. Mr. Sterling was found in his suite at the Pink Palace. You were seen leaving his floor shortly before the estimated time of death.”
Sofia’s hands rested lightly on the table, her manicured nails a stark contrast to the chipped paint of the metal surface. “I was visiting a friend, Detective. Mr. Sterling was… an acquaintance. I had no reason to harm him.” Her voice was a low melody, each word precisely enunciated.
