The air in the Grand Council chambers was thick with the scent of polished wood and unspoken anxieties. Elara stood before them, her oil-stained technician’s jumpsuit a stark contrast to the opulent silks and velvets of the Solarian elite. Her voice, usually steady and sure when discussing flow rates and pressure differentials, trembled slightly as she laid out her findings.
