The crystal kept the forest alive, allowing animals to speak, flowers to sing, and trees to move. But the crystal had disappeared three days earlier. Without it, the forest's magic was slowly fading. ### Chapter 3: The Hidden Secret Ember led the girls through a narrow passage behind the enormous tree. Inside was a secret library filled with floating books, glowing candles, and shelves that stretched towards the ceiling. At the centre of the room stood a stone table. Carved into it was a message: Only those who trust each other can find what darkness has hidden. Lily examined the map and noticed three symbols: a moon, a key, and a heart. "The map isn't showing us where the crystal is," she said. "It's showing us what we need to find first!" Their first challenge was to locate a silver key hidden beneath the Whispering Waterfall. The trees shimmered, the flowers opened, and the river sparkled with thousands of tiny lights. Birds sang from the branches, and magical creatures emerged from their hiding places. Thorn's dark branches transformed into beautiful green leaves, but his most important change was the smile on his face. "You saved our home," he said gratefully.
