Lyra had led her here, to a place that felt older than time itself, a sanctuary whispered about in hushed tones by those who remembered the Obsidian Lineage.

“Rest now, Elara,” Lyra’s voice, a soft balm against the raw edges of Elara’s anxiety, echoed in the confined space. “You are safe, for now.”

Safe was a fragile concept, a word that felt foreign on Elara’s tongue. The Serpent’s Eye was a shadow that stretched long and cold, and she knew their pursuit was far from over. But here, surrounded by the silent weight of history, a peculiar calm had begun to settle over her. The air thrummed with an unseen energy, a resonance that seemed to hum in her very bones.
