Celine’s sobs, a raw, unvarnished sound that tore at my already frayed nerves, echoed the hollowness in my own chest. Grandma kidnapped. Not just Mia, not just my mother, but *another* grandmother. The alien wasn't just a fleeting nightmare; it was a predator, systematically plucking the precious threads from our lives, leaving behind only emptiness and terror.
Tamera, her face a mask of disbelief and burgeoning fear, clutched Celine’s small frame. “Are you sure, Celine? Are you absolutely sure?”
