Happily Ever After
The mystery of the dragon is solved, replaced by a story of friendship and courage. Alex, Felix, and Coco live happily together, their days filled with magic and joy.
The last page of the book had been turned, the adventure, it seemed, had reached its grand finale. Alex, with Felix curled contentedly at his side, his scales shimmering even in the dim light of Alex’s bedroom, and Coco snoozing on a pile of soft blankets at their feet, felt a warmth spread through him that had nothing to do with the dragon’s gentle snores. It was the warmth of accomplishment, of friendship, and of a secret well-kept.
He looked at Felix, the magnificent creature who had once been just words and pictures on a page. Now, he was real, breathing, and utterly dependent on Alex. His scales, a swirling kaleidoscope of sapphire and amethyst, caught the moonlight filtering through the window, casting dancing patterns on the walls. His pale blue eyes, usually so full of ancient wisdom, were now soft with sleep, occasionally fluttering open to gaze at Alex with an expression that was pure trust.
“We did it, Felix,” Alex whispered, stroking a smooth, warm scale. “We really did it.”
