The Forest's First Sparkle
Upon entering the Crystal Forest, Elara meets Flicker, a playful spirit creature. The forest, though beautiful with glowing flora, shows signs of decay, mirroring Lunaria's plight.
The air shimmered with an otherworldly luminescence as Elara stepped through the veil, her boots crunching on what felt like a carpet of crushed starlight. This was it. The Crystal Forest. It was everything the ancient scrolls had hinted at, and so much more. Trees, tall and slender, spiraled towards a sky that seemed to pulse with a soft, internal light. Their bark wasn't bark at all, but intricate patterns of crystal that caught and refracted the glow, sending rainbows dancing across the mossy ground. Flowers, impossibly delicate, unfurled petals that resembled spun glass, their centers emitting a gentle, inviting warmth. Even the river, a ribbon of liquid moonlight that snaked through the forest floor, sparkled with an inner fire.
Elara gasped, her hand flying to her mouth. It was breathtaking. A symphony of light and color, a place seemingly born from dreams. Yet, beneath the awe, a familiar knot of anxiety tightened in her stomach. This beauty, this ethereal glow… it felt fragile, like a whispered secret on the verge of being forgotten.
