The world warped around Lavina as she stumbled, a frantic rhythm to her breathing that echoed the pounding in her chest. The very ground beneath her feet seemed to shift, colors bleeding and swirling like a watercolor painting left out in the rain. One moment, she was sure she was running on a ceiling, the next, the walls of the earth itself became her path, slick and yielding. Then, with a disorienting lurch, she was tumbling out of a hole in a massive, ancient tree, landing not on solid ground, but in a place she’d never seen before.

A hushed awe settled over her. Before her stood beings of immense stature, ancient and wise, their forms radiating a gentle light. They were not menacing, but rather offered a soft, welcoming aura, as if to ensure she wouldn’t flee back into the darkness she’d escaped. Behind her, a heavy, resonant thud. The Minotaur stood, a silent, formidable barrier, blocking any retreat. Forward was the only way.

One of the titans, a being of earth and moss, bent low, its colossal form dwarfing her. It met her gaze, its voice a rumble that vibrated through her bones. "Welcome, my queen," it said, its words carrying an echo of ages past. "We have been waiting for you."
