Chapter 15
Renewed Appreciation
Sitting together on the sand, the storm passing, they talk. Lily promises to stay closer. Sarah reassures her, her love now tinged with a profound gratitude for Lily's safety.

The panic of the last hour, the terrifying sweep of the tide, the searing emptiness where Lily should have been, had left a tremor deep within her. But now, with Lily safe, held tight, the fear was slowly giving way to a tidal wave of relief so potent it made her knees weak.
