In a near-future world, people can sell their memories for money. Most people trade away painful moments — breakups, grief, failures — but a young archivist named Mara discovers a hidden collection of stolen memories that reveal a conspiracy: someone has been removing specific memories from millions of people to erase a forgotten truth. As Mara investigates, she finds a memory that belongs to her — one she never knew existed. Themes: * Who are we without our past? * Is forgetting a form of freedom or control? * Can a person own a memory?
