Building a New Home

The crunch of Martian regolith under my boots was a sound I’d replayed a thousand times in my head, a symphony of success that had finally begun. “Copy that, Ares One. Stellar work, Deagan,” Sarah’s voice crackled through the comms, laced with that familiar blend of professional calm and genuine relief. “We’re seeing a solid telemetry lock. Proceed with habitat inflation and internal systems check.”
