Nathan tests the man with a false memory and discovers hidden letters behind the mirror's frame, revealing the truth about the trapped occupant.
Nathan stood alone in his room, the mirror empty. The man had vanished after that wink, leaving only Nathan's own reflection staring back. But the longer he looked, the less sure he was that the reflection matched. The eyes seemed a shade darker, the jaw slightly sharper.
He shook his head and sat on the edge of the bed. The letter was gone. Owen thought they weren't friends anymore. His mother had invited Daniel to dinner. And the man kept getting younger.
Something about the man's words stuck with him. You can't undo everything, Nathan. That's not how this works. But the man had claimed to be his future self. A future self would remember Nathan's past. Wouldn't he?
