The air crackled with a heat that had nothing to do with the swirling dust motes. Mia, her fists clenched and her eyes blazing, felt the familiar inferno surge within her. This was it. The final challenge. The moment she’d trained for, dreamed of, and frankly, expected. Rylee stood across the arena, a cool, collected statue of emerald robes, her gaze as steady as a deep ocean current. Mia wouldn't be swayed by that practiced calm. She was fire. She was power. And Rylee was about to learn just how bright that power could burn.

With a guttural cry, Mia thrust her hands forward. A torrent of molten gold erupted from her fingertips, a river of flame that roared towards Rylee. It wasn't just heat; it was pure, unadulterated fury, a testament to every late-night practice, every whispered doubt she’d crushed. Rylee, however, was not one to be easily overwhelmed. Her water shield didn't just block; it flowed, it adapted. She channeled the energy of the impact, redirecting it, swirling it into a powerful vortex. The water began to churn, no longer a passive defense but an active counter.
