The air in the hidden sanctuary crackled with an energy I’d only ever read about in brittle, dust-laden tomes. It was a palpable thing, a hum that vibrated deep within my bones, resonating with something ancient and profound. My hands, usually steady as I traced forgotten scripts, trembled as I traced the intricate carvings on the obsidian altar before me. It was here, within the heart of this forgotten place, that the truth of my lineage, and the weight of my destiny, finally settled upon me.

“Guardians,” the inscription read, etched in a language older than the kingdom itself. “Keepers of the Light, shepherds of the Bloom.”

Lyra, her presence a silken whisper beside me, pointed a slender finger at the glyphs. “Your ancestors, Elara. They were not mere scholars, not simply keepers of knowledge. They were protectors. The Lunar Bloom was their sacred charge.”
