Chapter 15
The Ascent
The Lunar Bloom is nearing its peak. Elara and Kael race towards the sacred site, pursued by Silas Vane and his forces, the fate of the realm hanging precariously.
The air grew thin, biting at my lungs with every ragged breath. Even in this desperate ascent, his warrior's instincts were a constant, reassuring presence. Yet, beneath the stoic facade, I sensed a tremor of urgency, a mirroring of my own gnawing fear. He had his own demons to outrun, his own past to confront, and I suspected this journey was as much about his atonement as it was about saving the realm.
