The silence that followed the Lumina Steed’s departure was not an empty one. It hummed with the lingering magic, a soft echo of celestial hooves and the celestial light that had pushed back the encroaching shadow. Elara, Finn, and Kael stood on the highest point of the Aurora Peaks, their faces still bright with the residual glow of the steed’s radiance. Below them, Aethelgard stretched out, the oppressive gloom that had threatened to swallow it now a distant, fading memory. The sky, no longer a battleground of light and shadow, pulsed with the gentle, familiar hues of the aurora borealis, a soothing balm after the storm.

“It’s… quiet,” Kael said, his voice a low rumble. He typically spoke little, but in these moments, even his quiet words carried weight. He looked out at the world they had helped save, a profound sense of peace settling over him, a stark contrast to the gnawing guilt that had often shadowed his thoughts.

Finn nodded, his usual wit momentarily subdued. He ran a hand through his windswept hair, his gaze thoughtful. “A good quiet, though. The kind that means the world can finally breathe again.” He glanced at Elara, a grateful smile gracing his lips. “We did it, Elara. We actually did it.”
