The treacherous climb begins. Battling freezing winds and sheer ice cliffs, the adventurers push their physical limits. Their determination is fueled by the sight of the vibrant aurora dancing above.
The biting wind shrieked like a banshee, tearing at their cloaks and whipping ice crystals into their faces. Elara squinted, her eyes watering, trying to make out the next handhold on the sheer ice cliff. Below, the world of Aethelgard was a hazy blur of white and grey, a stark contrast to the vibrant spectacle unfolding above them. The aurora borealis, the very source of the Lumina Steed’s legend, pulsed and shimmered directly overhead, a celestial river of emerald, sapphire, and amethyst. It was a breathtaking sight, a beacon of hope in the unforgiving ascent.
"Are you sure about this, Elara?" Finn's voice, usually steady, was strained against the gale. He clung to his ice axe, his knuckles white. "This is… steeper than I imagined."
Kael, ever the silent anchor, was already a few feet above them, his movements sure and deliberate. He didn't speak, but his steady presence was a comfort. He tested a section of ice with his boot, then nodded down to Elara, a silent reassurance.
