Chapter 15
Jason's Dilemma
Jason is overwhelmed but not entirely against the idea. He cares for all his stepsisters and finds himself drawn to them. He contemplates the implications and his own desires.
Jason leaned back against the plush cushions of the sofa, the weight of the past few days settling onto his shoulders like a warm blanket, albeit one embroidered with more than a few bewildering threads. The proposition, delivered with a curious blend of fierce protectiveness and undeniable longing by Seraphina, Aurora, Luna, and Celeste, still echoed in his mind. A harem. The word itself felt foreign, a concept plucked from a historical drama or a particularly fanciful novel, not something that was being seriously discussed in his own living room, with his own stepsisters.
He watched them now, scattered around the room, each lost in their own thoughts, yet all undeniably aware of his presence. Seraphina was engrossed in a thick tome, her brow furrowed in concentration, but Jason noticed the subtle way her eyes flickered towards him every so often. Aurora was meticulously arranging a collection of polished stones on the coffee table, her movements precise and deliberate, her gaze occasionally darting to catch his. Luna sat curled in an armchair, a sketchbook open on her lap, her pencil poised as if waiting for inspiration to strike, her shy glances a constant, gentle presence. And Celeste, the youngest, was sprawled on the rug, idly batting at a stray thread on the carpet, her bright eyes tracking his every subtle shift.
It was a lot. More than a lot, really. Just a week ago, his life had been a predictable rhythm of school, friends, and the occasional exasperated sigh at his dad’s sudden remarriage. Now, it was a whirlwind of ice princesses, burgeoning affections, and a proposal that threatened to rewrite his entire future. And the strangest part? He wasn’t entirely against it.
